	I'm currently deployed to Iraq, and about 2 weeks before i left i purchased a Recon Tanto for a great price. About 40 bucks brand new. Overall i was impressed, it is one heck of a knife. I can use it/abuse it all i want, it just asks for more. For a self-defense tool, its great. The only downside i have is sharpeness. I keep all my knifes very sharp. However, this one wont take an edge. I have tried several times to sharpen it, to no avail. It was not used much, but lost its edge quickly, and wont accept a new one. If you want something that can be used in any situation, this is your knife, if you want to use it to cut yourself out of a seatbelt/harness, get a benchmade. Note: smaller cold steels do not have this problem, they keep an edge VERY well. Cold steel would not return my email about this issue, so when I get home I'll have a professional sharpen it with a machine, the blade is too tough for your average stone.
